SINGLE TEMP COMPACT WATER
COMPACT, WATER-OPERATED TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

The Single Temp Compact Water series offers compact, high-performance, and energy-efficient water-circulated temperature control machines. These systems are specifically designed for plastic injection moulding, extrusion, and other thermally controlled process applications, where high precision, stable temperature control, and low operating costs are critical. Compared to alternative heat transfer media such as thermal oil, water has a significantly higher specific heat capacity, enabling faster heat transfer and more stable temperature regulation. Thanks to these advantages, Compact Water systems provide ideal solutions for small to medium performance requirements.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE OF COMPACT WATER SYSTEMS

Compact Water machines operate according to a closed-loop, water-circulated temperature control principle. The system heats the circulating water to the required temperature using a specially designed heating and circulation unit. Water is then pumped into the process circuit as the heat transfer medium, where its superior thermal properties allow heat to be transferred quickly and efficiently. After delivering heat to the process, the water returns to the heating unit, completing the circulation loop.

This design ensures uniform temperature distribution, low thermal inertia, and rapid temperature response. In addition, the system operates with PID-controlled electronic circuits that minimize on/off cycling, enabling temperature stability with accuracy down to ±0.1 °C.

TECHNICAL FEATURES AND NUMERICAL DATA

Compact Water temperature control units are designed for industrial applications with small to medium capacity requirements. The main technical and numerical characteristics are as follows:

Temperature Range
• Typical operating temperature: 90 °C - 180 °C
• Stable temperature control up to 180 °C is available across the range

Heating Capacity
• Compact models are designed with heating capacities ranging from approximately 5 kW to 27 kW
• Modular pump configurations and phase-based designs allow optimization for different heating demands

System Flow Rate
• The circulation pumps deliver a typical flow rate of approximately 27 litres per minute, with flexibility to meet higher flow requirements when needed

Design and Construction
• IP54 protection class, ensuring resistance to water and dust for both mechanical and electrical components
• Robust construction using stainless steel, corrosion-resistant metals, and high-quality industrial components
• Full thermal insulation minimizes heat loss and improves overall energy efficiency

Energy Efficiency
• Heating elements are controlled by solid-state relays, enabling smooth power regulation and reduced thermal stress
• The high thermal capacity of water contributes to optimized energy consumption and reduced CO₂ emissions
