MARSE SMART OIL - TANK
OIL TANK TEMPERATURE CONTROL UNITS

The Marse Smart Oil - Tank series consists of oil tank-integrated temperature control units developed to precisely control mold and equipment temperatures in plastic processing and high-temperature industrial applications. In processes where water-based solutions are insufficient, these systems provide stable and safe temperature control up to 150 °C.

As part of the Marse SMART platform, Smart Oil - Tank units feature Industry 4.0-ready digital infrastructure, advanced PID control algorithms, and high-durability hydraulic components. They are especially preferred in the production of engineering plastics, thick-walled parts, and applications requiring high surface quality.

OIL TANK TEMPERATURE CONTROL TECHNOLOGY AND OPERATING PRINCIPLE

In Smart Oil - Tank systems, special heat transfer oil is used as the thermal medium. The oil is stored in an integrated tank and circulated in a closed loop through the mold or process equipment. Electric heating elements raise the oil to the target temperature, while the PID control algorithm regulates the temperature with high precision.

Key advantages of oil-based systems include:

• Stable operation at elevated temperatures
• Low evaporation risk
• Homogeneous heat transfer
• Reduced temperature gradients inside the mold
• Extended equipment service life

The tank-integrated design stabilizes the oil volume within the system, minimizing sudden temperature fluctuations and ensuring continuous, reliable process operation.

SMART SERIES DIGITAL CONTROL AND INDUSTRY 4.0 INFRASTRUCTURE

Marse Smart Oil - Tank units are equipped with a modern control panel featuring a 7-inch color touchscreen. Thanks to the EDGE 2 processor architecture, all process data can be monitored and analyzed in real time.

Digital control features include:

• Intuitive operation via 7" touchscreen
• Support for 17 languages
• Real-time monitoring of temperature, pressure, and flow
• Heating ramps
• Alarm history and event logs
• Automatic PID auto-tuning function

Industry 4.0 communication and connectivity options:

• OPC UA
• Profinet
• RS 485 / RS 232
• TTY 20 mA
• Analog signals 4-20 mA

With the RAP (Remote Access Platform), remote monitoring, data logging, and remote service interventions are fully supported.
