MARSE SMART WATER - DIRECT COOLING SYSTEM
WATER-OPERATED TEMPERATURE CONTROL UNITS WITH DIRECT COOLING
The Marse Smart Water - Direct Cooling System series consists of water-operated temperature control units with direct cooling, designed to operate efficiently at maximum working temperatures of 90 °C, 120 °C, and 140 °C in plastic processing and industrial manufacturing processes. Thanks to the direct contact between cooling water and the process circuit, these systems deliver very fast response times, high cooling capacity, and economical operation.
As part of the Marse SMART platform, Smart Water - WDC units are equipped with Industry 4.0-ready digital infrastructure, advanced PID temperature control, and high-performance pump technology. They provide ideal solutions for shortening cycle times and improving product quality, especially in injection molding, extrusion, and thermoforming applications.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE OF THE DIRECT COOLING SYSTEM
In the Direct Cooling System (WDC) design, the water circulating in the process circuit comes into direct contact with the cooling water. This allows extremely fast heat transfer and enables the system to respond rapidly to sudden temperature changes.
The main advantages of this principle are:
• Extremely fast cooling response
• High cooling efficiency
• Shorter cycle times
• Simple and reliable system design
• Low initial investment cost
For these reasons, Smart Water - Direct Cooling System units are among the most efficient solutions for applications that require high production speed within a medium temperature range.
SMART SERIES DIGITAL CONTROL AND INDUSTRY 4.0 INFRASTRUCTURE
All Smart Water - WDC models are equipped with an advanced control panel featuring a 7-inch color touchscreen. Thanks to the EDGE 2 processor architecture, system parameters are monitored and analyzed in real time.
Digital control features include:
• Fast and intuitive operation via 7" touchscreen
• Support for 17 languages
• Real-time monitoring of temperature, pressure, and flow
• Heating and cooling ramps
• Alarm history and event logs
• Automatic PID auto-tuning function
Industry 4.0 and communication interfaces:
• OPC UA
• Profinet
• RS 485 / RS 232
• TTY 20 mA
• Analog signals 4-20 mA
Through the RAP (Remote Access Platform), machines can be monitored remotely, process data can be recorded, and service interventions can be carried out remotely.
