Multizone Manifold Series - LA504 / LA508 / LA516 / LA524
The Airtect multizone manifold series is designed to monitor sensor tubes placed at different points within the mold from a single point.
With models featuring 4, 8, 16, or 24 zones, it adapts to all types of hot runners and complex mold architectures.
Thanks to fixed and modular version options, it offers fast mold change, easy installation, and high reliability.
It detects all critical risks that cause production downtime, such as hot runner cracks, nozzle wear, and inter-plate leaks, at an early stage.
Nozzle + hot runner protection: “Standard” leak detection manifolds
This group consists of multi-zone manifolds and must be used in conjunction with an LA501, LA502, or LM2050 control unit. Stainless steel sensor tubes drawn from different points on the injection machine or hot runner are connected to these manifolds.

A separate sensor tube is connected to each zone; air flow and pressure difference are monitored on the manifold. When the air flow inside the pipe changes in the area where the leak occurs, the signal goes to the signal control module belonging to the relevant zone and the zone number appears on the screen.
This manifold is available in two designs:
a) Fixed manifold – Especially for applications where it will remain fixed on the mold and will rarely be removed and installed.
b) Modular manifold – The base and upper manifold module are separate; only the upper module can be removed and installed during quick mold changes. Screw-on or quick-release handle versions are available.
Application examples:
– Hot runner systems with 4–24 hot nozzles
– Leak detection at different plate levels inside the mold (nozzle area, manifold area, between plates, etc.)
– High-cavity packaging, medical, and cap molds
