Water-Based Industrial Cleaners and Degreasers
ACCA Water-Based Industrial Cleaners and Degreasers are professional cleaning products developed to remove oils, grease, soot, production dirt and various industrial residues encountered in manufacturing plants, maintenance workshops, and plastics and rubber processing facilities.
Industrial cleaning is not merely a matter of appearance. Regular cleaning of machinery, equipment and production areas can simplify maintenance, help identify potential problems, reduce contamination-related interruptions and prepare surfaces for subsequent maintenance or production operations.
When the correct product and concentration are selected, water-based cleaners provide a practical and controlled solution for a wide range of industrial cleaning requirements. The ACCA range includes alternatives for routine cleaning, heavy-duty degreasing, fast-drying surface preparation, foam applications and low-foam cleaning processes.
Effective Industrial Cleaning
Contamination found in industrial facilities may consist of mineral oils, processing fluids, grease, dust, soot, smoke deposits and environmental dirt. Since these contaminants have different characteristics, a single cleaner may not provide the desired performance on every surface.
ACCA water-based cleaners are available with different alkalinity levels, foaming characteristics and application formats. The range includes low-, medium- and high-alkalinity products, foaming and non-foaming alternatives, concentrates and ready-to-use solutions.
Selecting the appropriate product helps break down and remove oily or contaminated layers from compatible surfaces. Machinery, production equipment, work areas and components can then be prepared for inspection, maintenance, assembly or subsequent manufacturing processes.
Applications in the Plastics and Rubber Industries
Oil, grease, production residue and atmospheric contamination can accumulate around injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding, thermoforming and rubber-processing machinery. If they are not removed regularly, these deposits may make equipment inspection and maintenance more difficult.
Typical application areas include:
* Compatible exterior surfaces of plastics and rubber processing machinery
* Areas surrounding injection moulding machines
* Workshop floors and washable industrial surfaces
* Machine components and maintenance equipment
* Metal workbenches
* Oil- and grease-contaminated tools and fixtures
* Production, storage and dispatch areas
* Compatible parts requiring cleaning before maintenance or painting
* Surfaces contaminated with soot, smoke deposits or fingerprints
The substrate, surface coating and chemical resistance must always be evaluated before application.
Main Benefits
Depending on the selected product and operating conditions, ACCA water-based cleaners may provide the following advantages:
* Effective removal of oil, grease and industrial contamination
* Solutions for different levels and types of soiling
* Concentrated and ready-to-use alternatives
* Compatibility with manual, spray, foam or immersion applications where specified
* Foaming and non-foaming options
* Special products for fast-drying applications
* Support for regular machinery and facility maintenance
* Preparation of compatible surfaces for subsequent operations
* Controlled and economical consumption through correct dilution
Selecting the Right Product
Product selection should be based on the type and amount of contamination, substrate material, cleaning method, required contact time and rinsing conditions.
Lower or moderately alkaline cleaners may be suitable for light and medium general contamination. Stronger alkaline products may be required for heavy oil, grease, soot and persistent industrial dirt. Foaming cleaners can increase contact time on vertical surfaces, while non-foaming products may be more appropriate for processes in which foam control is essential.
Ready-to-use products can simplify rapid maintenance operations. Fast-drying cleaners may be preferred when parts must proceed quickly to painting, coating or another production stage.
Compatibility testing should be carried out on a small, inconspicuous area before treating aluminium, galvanised metals, sensitive alloys, painted surfaces, plastics, rubber or composite materials.

Application and Safety
Depending on the selected product, application methods may include spraying, wiping, brushing, immersion, foaming or suitable washing equipment. Concentration, temperature, contact time and rinsing requirements must be determined according to the product and application.
The relevant Technical Data Sheet and Safety Data Sheet should always be reviewed before use. Recommended dilution ratios must be followed, suitable personal protective equipment must be worn and adequate ventilation must be provided. Chemical products should never be mixed unless the combination has been expressly approved by the manufacturer.
